Fort Lauderdale Fishing, Ft Lauderdale Deep Sea Fishing Charter
Fort Lauderdale Fishing aboard the Happy Day Today charter boat is the ULTIMATE sport fishing adventure!
With 30 years of Ft Lauderdale fishing experience and 34 local records in South Florida, Captains Rick Brady and Tom Zsak have the skilled expertise to decide how, what, and where to catch fish on any given day on a Fort Lauderdale fishing charter.
Our Fort Lauderdale fishing boat has earned the reputation as being one of the top charter boats due to the fact the business started in 1980 and consistently produces fish for the last 30 years. Our goal is to provide you with a fishing charter that is fun with the excitement of that sound of line screaming off the reel and the rod bent over with the cry of "Fish On." |

Anglers come from all corners of the world to experience Fort Lauderdale fishing. There are three times of the year that generate big migrations of fish throughout South Florida including the Fort Lauderdale fishing region. The first migration starts with Sailfish in the months of December through April.
In the months of May through July we have a great Shark run. The summer months provide great Mahi-Mahi (Dorado) and Wahoo fishing. Also keep in mind there are plenty of other fish that are targeted like Cobia, Black Fin Tuna, King Mackerel, Bonito, Barracuda and Swordfish through out the year.
We are very fortunate to have such deep water off Fort Lauderdale, for example within 2 miles offshore, we are fishing in 200 feet of water. The game fish off Fort Lauderdale are some of the most sought after fish in the world.
The techniques used for fishing in Ft. Lauderdale are a wide variety depending on many variables. For example if there is a 10 to 15 mph of wind out of an Easterly direction, we are able to try kite fishing where we have our lines attached to release clips hanging from the kite. The intention of the kite is to present our bait fish to the predator fish in its most natural form (as a school of bait) which is extremely effective.
Another method is trolling live and dead Ballyhoo’s. Also we do Fort Lauderdale wreck fishing and the Fort Lauderdale coastal waters have a great system of wrecks. Some of the wrecks are located in 75’ of water and others are located out in 400+’ of water. |
