Established in 1974, with 3 generations in the family Fort Lauderdale fishing charter business, 46 years of experience, and 34 local records in South Florida, we are the longest-running charter boat business in South Florida. Captain David Zsak has the skill and expertise to put you on the fish, on any given day.
We fish for: sailfish, shark, Mahi Mahi, wahoo, tuna, cobia, snapper, grouper, amberjack, and more.
No Experience Necessary & All Ages
If you are new to fishing, don’t worry! Anglers of any skill level are welcome – even if you have never fished before. Children are also welcome and will be safe and comfortable aboard our large Fort Lauderdale charter boat.

Major Fish Migrations
There are three major fish migrations each year in South Florida. The first migration starts with sailfish in the months of December through April. The second migration is in the months of May through July when we have a great shark run and the third migration is in the summer months with mahi-mahi and wahoo.
Keep in mind there is plenty of other fish that transit the waters off Fort Lauderdale throughout the year such as cobia, blackfin tuna, king mackerel (kingfish), bonito, barracuda, and swordfish.
Ft. Lauderdale Fishing Grounds
We are fortunate to have very deep waters within 2 miles of Fort Lauderdale. Our offshore waters are also home to over 100 shipwrecks and 23 miles of reefs found in 30 to 300 feet of water. This makes our unique marine environment an angler’s paradise.

Had an excellent day on the water with Capt. Dave and crew! The team was happy to share their stories, knowledge, and experience with me as we hooked onto plenty of fun gamefish and above all, an amazing bull shark. An unforgettable experience to say the least! In addition to the crew’s sincere hospitality, the boat (Happy Day Today) was well maintained, plenty of space, A/C onboard, and a well kept restroom. Literally could not ask for more. Kept catch is freshly filleted right there on board and sent home with you at no extra cost!

Hands down the BEST charter fishing company on the planet. Captain Dave and his crew were amazing and so well deserving of 5 stars. Took the kids out for a fishing trip and they were amazing with my kids. Walked them through everything and did everything they could to make sure each kid caught a couple of fish. They kept the kids active even when there was down time wait for a fish to take the bait. We already are setting up the next trip with Capt. Dave from now for next summer. Prices very reasonable and worth every penny. Book them!

Had an awesome time on this fishing charter! The action started fast we caught several fish within the first 30 minutes, and the longest stretch without a bite was only about 20 minutes. Throughout the trip, we landed lots of bonita, a huge barracuda, and the highlight of the day was a 5.5 foot sandbar shark.
The crew was fantastic. Both crew members were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to answer every question we had. They made sure everyone was having a great time and helped make the experience enjoyable from start to finish.

Captain Dave and Kyle were FANTASTIC. We did the four hour morning charter and had a great time. They were very accommodating and asked what kind of fish we were trying to catch and they did not disappoint. Everyone in our group caught multiple fish. Could not recommend “Happy Day Today” enough.
