 Offshore bites have been good for Mahi- Mahi and Wahoo. Today Capt. Tommy caught this 25 pound Wahoo in addition to a couple smaller dolphin.
The offshore bite has been anywhere from 400 to 800 feet of water. Looking for rip currents, birds and any floating debris. Once found, we spend some time with live and dead bait chuming up the Mahi and Wahoo. Also another good technique is to run and gun, meaning to run to patches of weed clusters and stop the boat, throw the baits in the water and wait for the bite. If no fish come up, move to the next grouping of weed. Also inshore we are catching King Mackerel, Bonito, Barracuda and Amberjacek.
