Sailfish release fishing in Ft. Lauderdale
Sailfish release fishing in Ft. Lauderdale

Our Sailfish are coming through and in good numbers, this week, our charter boat has caught 8 Sailfish over 3 charters. The conditions are right (wind direction, current, cold fronts, rip currents, bait concentrations and structure) are all holding the fish here in Fort Lauderdale and in a 4 or 6 hour fishing charter, your looking at least one to three shots at Sailfish.

We release 99% of our Sailfish, unless the charter would like to take the fish to a smoke house and or if the fish comes up dead, we keep the Sail and smoke the meat. Otherwise, the rest all are released. We want to keep our wealth of Sailfishery here in South Florida healthy and by releasing the fish we obviously are not killing a population of fish that are migratory and will be back next year. This is the mind set and practice for most charter boats.

Here is a picture one of our charters took as a sail was in air.

To book and or reserve a charter, please contact Capt. Zsak at (954) 439-8106 and or send an email and we can discuss the fishing for fish other than Sailfish like Swordfish, King Mackerel, Mahi and Wahoo.

Tight lines!!
