Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report, Sailfish for the New Year

We have had a great start to the new year with Sailfish bite. There has been a good number of cold fronts that have pushed the Sails South and we have had great success with live and dead bait Sailfishing. The cold front lowers the pressure and the migration of Sails push South in groups of fish. It is not uncommon to get 2 or 4 at a time. Our best day has been over 10 in a 4 hour trip so far this year. The best depth has been in 140 feet of water and with a little current and luck, fish on!!
