We are very fortunate to have both offshore fishing and inshore fishing waters off Ft. Lauderdale. When we head offshore, the weed line and or anywhere that looks fishy could be 5 to 9 miles offshore depending on where the current and best areas are to fish. With the help of birds, Man-0-War make circles when they spot a nice group of fish and of course we head right for those spots. Our offshore fishing for Mahi- Mahi has been good as well as our Wahoo fishing offshore. By using both dead Ballyhoo on the surface and deep baits, we have all the columns of the area covered. Its always a good idea to have live bait and chum when offshore Fort Lauderdale, fishing can be red hot when you have a large group of Mahi-Mahi right behind your boat and with the chum and a couple smaller Mahi kept in the water, you can have a heck of a time catching fish off our deep sea waters. Typically the depth is around 600 feet of water to 900 feet of water.
When fishing off Ft. Lauderdale inshore, we are on the reef and in about 120' to 200' feet of water. This is where a lot of our action happens and we can fish both offshore and inshore in the same trip, however it is typically on a 6 hour to really fish our South Florida waters right.
To book an deep sea fishing charter, contact Capt. Tommy Zsak at (954) 439-8106 and we can answer any questions and or reserve a day to go fishing.
