 So far this early summer has proven to be a successful Mahi fishing offshore. We have been targeting Mahi anywhere from 5 to 9 miles offshore, depending on the Gulf Stream and where the debris, current and best water is located. A good technique we use is called run and gun. Meaning we run until we find a weed patch or floating log/pallet. Then deploy the baits. After we spend 20 minutes on a spot, depending on the bite, we then pick up and target a new patch or line.
