Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report, Nice King Mackerel off Ft. Lauderdale

This afternoon was steady action with Bonito and King Mackerel. We fished in 100' to 160' feet of water
trolling strip baits and Ballywhoos. The bite has been decent in the afternoon and averaging 5 to 7 fish a half day trip. The benefit to fishing out of South Florida in the morning is by noon we are back to the dock and your catch is on ice and filet, however it has been warm and most customers like the morning trip due the cooler temperatures at 7am or 8am. The fishing is just as good in the afternoon and seeing similar catches as in the morning. Our 46' Hatteras is fully airconditioned and can come in and cool off.
