Attractions in South Florida
Miami Children’s Museum – If you have kids, the Miami Children’s Museum is a “must place to visit”. They have a wide variety of interactive exhibits for children to enjoy.
Miami Science Museum – Check out the latest kid-friendly exhibits; you are bound to find a learning adventure for the whole family.
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens – Located in beautiful Coral Gables, this 50 acres estate offers a glimpse at life in turn-of-the-century South Florida. See the large murals, ceilings and tapestries brought over from Europe.
Parrot Jungle Island – Get an up-close look at tropical birds in their natural habitats, along with penguins, ligers (a cross between a tiger and a lion), tigers, kangaroos, orangutans, to name a few. It even has its own private beach with water slides!!!
Miami Seaquarium – Located in Key Biscayne, this is a fabulous place to witness an outdoor aquarium featuring dolphins, killer whales, seals, Florida Manatees and other sea creatures.
Miami Zoo – Becoming one of the best zoos in the nation with a wide variety of animals from Asia, Australia and Africa. One of the first free-range zoos in the country, the exhibits are entirely “cageless”.
The Beaches – Enjoy South Florida’s Beaches, from South Beach to the beaches in Fort Lauderdale enjoy time in the sun, our beautiful clear blue waters and people watching.
Everglades National Park – You can walk, camp and canoe through the flat and watery park that is also known as “the river of grass”

Joe’s Stone Crabs – if you are in Miami during the stone crab season (October 15th to May 15th) you must stop by Joe’s Stone Crabs – be prepared, however, with excessively long lines. Better yet, get the stone crabs to go from Joe’s Takeaway located right next to the restaurant.
Capital Grill – Ranked by Zagat’s survey as one of the top ten steakhouse, offers a wide variety of steak, seafood and specialty dishes. They are located in the heart of downtown Miami.
Perricone’s Marketplace – Located in downtown Miami, they feature classic Italian cuisine. Wonderful atmosphere inside and out. They also have a fabulous Italian market with delicious goodies.
Casa Larios – Best Cuban cooking in Miami with two locations – one in South Miami and the other on Flagler Street – great food – the best Mojitos in town!
Tropical Chinese – This South Florida tradition offers authentic Chinese cuisine, including a popular Sunday afternoon dim sum.
Azul – located in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Brickell Key, this restaurant offers great food - an Asian twist to Mediterranean flavors - along with the best view of Biscayne Bay.
Palme d’Or – located in the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables – Great French cuisine, fabulous service and a historical site all wrapped in one – a place to see, experience and taste.
