Fort Lauderdale Fishing Report, Fishing in October

There is a good bite in October offshore charter fishing and catching Wahoo and Mahi-Mahi. Also inshore fishing we are catching King Mackerel with trolling for Bonito and Barracuda. The first cold front has come down this year and was about 4 days long. It was a good indication as the Sailfish start their migration South and cold fronts help push the fish South. We have been catching a couple Sails a week and hope to increase this number as fall comes into full swing. The bait are also here as we are using the Mullett as Sailfish bait and using the Mullett as strips for catching King Mackerel, Also Mullett chucks are good for Grouper and Snapper. We have air conditioning on our 46' Hatteras Sport Fish and is a good thing because October has been hot month. Typically this is our warmest month and starts to cool off in Novermber and so on.
