 Heading off shore the last couple trips and have had some success with both Mahi, Whaoo and a couple large Cudas. We are fishing anywhere from 500 to 700 feet of water, looking for weed lines, floating debris, floating palets, and diving birds.
We ended up catching this nice Mahi and were about 6 miles offshore, the fish was in a clump of sea weed, circled arouhd and ended up catching her.
When trolling offshore for Mahi, we use trolling skirts with Ballywhoo as well as lures and some strip baits. Also using a deep line to always keep an eye out for the Wahoo. |
